Marine Simulation Centre

Overview
Marine Simulator

The Simulation Centre has the responsibility for the operation of AMC's simulation facilities, which are the Integrated Marine Simulator (IMS) and Machinery Space Simulators.

These simulators are situated in the Simulation / Information Services Building, located at the Newnham campus in Launceston.

The Integrated Marine Simulator (IMS) comprises:
Marine Simulator

It is one of the most advanced simulators of its type in the world which is continually being upgraded and is invaluable for research and investigation into port development, ship manoeuvring and improving ship and port safety and efficiency. It is also a very effective aid for training and competency assessment of shipmasters and deck officers.
